About

My name is Jamison Go and live to turn ideas into reality.

Concept synthesis, creation, and design are my passions. I am ecstatic to understand how/why things work and exercise that knowledge in a project. This curiosity is the cycle of my life and has lead me to incredible adventures with incredible people all over the world.

My interest in engineering sparked when I saw BattleBots for the first time in the early 2000’s. Inspired by robots on the show, I built models of varying levels of functionality from whatever I could find; most materials came from the trash or dumpsters. My happy place was a surplus store downtown where I could handle all sorts of parts and wonder what they were for and why they were designed that way. It wasn’t until 2004 that I started competing. That day I met some of my heroes and made life-long friends. The rest was history.

None of this would have been possible without mentors at every stage of my life and fellow creators who also documented their work in great (and humorous) detail. With the revival of this blog, let us continue to celebrate creativity and the collaborative spirit!

What is the variable constant? Simply put, nerdy metaphor for life and hindsight. In the pursuit of the answer sometimes we integrate and inevitably are left with the integration “constant”, a “variable” which we can only solve after knowing the answer. Similarly, we only understand the full extent of situations after reflecting on the past.
