SawBlaze is a fierce competitor and fan favorite of the competition and unscripted reality TV show “BattleBots”. Previously armed with a 16″ fireman’s rescue saw and 15kW of cutting power, it now takes a blunt force approach to slicing using its innovative “hammer saw” technique. Despite the change in primary weapon, SawBlaze’s most notable feature remains; the lime green flamethrower powered by propane and a mad-scientist colorant cocktail.
Adaptability and consistency is a key component to SawBlaze’s success. The team prepared multiple solutions for the meta but the plow is designed with extra attachment points for “on the fly” solutions. SawBlaze is also a well documented machine; each assembly has its own BOM, schematic, and part drawings.
About BattleBots: A competition where teams design and build 250-lb machines to destroy each other in 1-on-1 combat inside a bulletproof arena which has its own hazards to also contend with. Each season, 50 of the best teams across the world are selected to compete but only one can win the ultimate prize, the giant nut! Catch BattleBots on Discovery, HBO Max, or your favorite streaming services (YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, Discovery+, etc)

First real post of the new website! Feels a bit strange that it is a annual summary, especially since there haven’t been any even reports yet. But don’t worry, I’ll get those in in good time. Look forward to at minimum a report on the NHRL championship and NHRL all-stars events in the next month!…
